Ann Kipling: Drawing the Line
North Shore Works 1962–1967
January 25–March 25, 2017
Artist Talk: January 28 at 2 p.m.
Acclaimed for her career-long dedication to the medium of drawing, British Columbia artist Ann Kipling will guide visitors through her most recent exhibition. In an informal conversation with guest curator Robin Laurence, she will point out examples of work Kipling produced while she was living on the North Shore (from 1962–1967) to illuminate the development of her distinctive approach to drawing, especially to the landscape subject. Kipling will also talk about the other subjects she undertook at that time, including friends, colleagues, indigenous plants, and fellow creatures.
Please join Ann Kipling and Robin Laurence for their talk at the Museum on Saturday, January 28 at 2 p.m. Admission is by donation.
